    JESUS AND THE DINOSAURS

    Between birth and death,

Three in ten are followers of life,

Three in ten are followers of death,

And men just passing between life and death also number three in ten.

    Why is this so?

Because they live their lives on the gross level.

He who knows how to live can walk abroad,

Without fear of rhinoceros or tiger,

He will not be wounded in battle.

For in him rhinoceros can find no place to thrust his horn,

Tigers no place to use their claws,

And weapons no place to pierce,

    Why is this so?

Because he has no place for death to enter.

    Tao Te Ching (Ch-50)

(AP)  The United States is losing ground in education, as peers across the globe zoom by with bigger gains in student achievement and school graduations, a study shows.

Among adults age 25 to 34, the U.S. is ninth among industrialized nations in the share of its population that has at least a high school degree. In the same age group, the United States ranks seventh, with Belgium, in the share of people who hold a college degree.

Top performers included Finland, Korea, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada and Belgium.

400,000 YEAR OLD HOUSE FOUND NEAR NICE

Okie dokie. We have a 'home' 400,000 years old in Nice, France.

Four hundred thousand years ago, our forefathers brought forth in France a new civilization. Or did they?

As of February 2009, Liberty University (Jerry Falwell God do not ever bless his soul) offers 71 majors & specializations and among those offered are Aeronautics[13], Philosophy and Religion, English, Worship & Music Ministry, Business, Criminal Justice, Education and Nursing. The university's Distance Learning Program offers 36 degree programs.

The acceptance rate for students entering in 2008 was 94.3%[14], making Liberty one of the least selective schools in the United States.[15]

Liberty University teaches Young Earth Creationism as a plausible scientific ......

    Alrighty then?

In December, 1991 Creation reported, Arlton C. Murray "excavated a dinosaur for Liberty University's museum," which proclaimed "this dinosaur was the first of its kind in any creationist museum."[60]

Liberty professor Marcus R. Ross was featured in a report on creationism.[61] Ross "believes that the Bible is a literally true account of the creation of the universe and that the earth is at most 10,000 years old." this is note worthy because it in contrast to his previous position as reflected when he earned his Ph.D. in geosciences from University of Rhode Island with a dissertation about "the abundance and spread of mosasaurs, marine reptiles that, as he wrote, vanished at the end of the Cretaceous era about 65 million years ago."[61] Dr. Ross openly admits that he has since changed his thinking from that represented in his dissertation. Ross's dissertation and his subsequent statements with respect to the consensus of mainstream science as opposed to his own beliefs as he expresses and teaches them at Liberty has resulted in controversy. This includes questions about intellectual and philosophical integrity and consistency with respect to science and creationism.[

Well the earth is at the most 10,000 years old. I get so confused over all of this paleontology stuff.

The BBC reported yesterday that paleontologists in Australia have discovered a new species of dinosaur--a large, plant-eating sauropod nicknamed Zac. This follows a July discovery of three new species in the same part of northern Australia. It seems as if paleontologists are always stumbling across new skeletal remains, but how long can this last? Will we ever run out of dinosaur fossils?

Not for a long, long time. There are currently about 3,000 so-called "full" dinosaur specimens--complete or near-complete skeletons or just a complete or near-complete skull--in museums around the United States. Scientists estimate that there are at least triple this number as yet uncollected around the globe. It's hard to say how long it will take to track these down. But currently we're discovering new full specimens at a rate of about 14 per year. If we continue at that pace, it's safe to say we won't run out soon. (This rate is historically high--between 1970 and 1990, the rate was only six per year.) Pinning down the exact number of all uncollected fossils--not just complete specimens but bits and pieces like individual teeth or stray tail bones--is nearly impossible, but the figure is certainly in the millions.   http://www.slate.com/id/2226513/

"There will be hundreds of skeletons underneath the ground. The bone beds are so dense, you can hardly move for a dinosaur bone."

Three new dinosaur species were found in the same area earlier this year, all dating to the same period as Zac - about 100 million years ago in the Early Cretaceous period.  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8224279.stm

It was the Slate article and then my review of its cite, the BBC report that got me into this. When I was a kid I was astounded by two things, maps of Mars and dinosaurs. This melded into a theory later on about the immense nature of the universe. The time past, the eons I could never have witnessed. A real curiosity. I never ended up in Science but in rhetoric. A damn shame.

So I found the following site. Sites like this are all over the net. They are nuts:

An aura of mystery surrounds the dinosaurs. Where did they come from? Did they evolve? Did they really live millions of years ago? What happened to them? Are there any living today? Has any human being ever seen a live dinosaur?

Children and adults alike are absolutely fascinated by these mysterious monsters. Numerous books and movies have been produced to satisfy a seemingly insatiable hunger for information on these puzzling creatures. The truth of the matter, however, is that there are no real mysteries at all, once you have key information that is not generally known and is withheld from the public.

Come with me as we take a walk through history and uncover some amazing facts that will answer many of your questions about these "terrible lizards."

If you, the reader of this web page, want to know more about how you can spend eternity with the God of creation, please read on about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.    http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/1999/11/05/dinosaurs-and-the-bible

You have to read this shite. I mean it is incredible.

Do you really wish to understand how in the hell Scarborough or other repubs can talk about how 78% of Americans are happy with their current health coverage and health care?

Do you really wish to understand how in the hell former Vice-President Cheney gets 64% approval ratings from repubs?

Do you really wish to understand where people come from who decide that Texas could really secede from the union, without Oklahoma?

Well I located this fine site:

DINOSAURS AND THE BIBLE FOR KIDS

Do you really still have questions as to how come we find ourselves, as a nation far down the rung with regard to educational achievement?

Oh, and yes, if you are asking, these right wing Christian Cults do believe that Jesus rode dinosaurs. Just read some of these psychotic links.
