    Huffpost prolly thinks this is an anti-Trump piece, but but they repeat his words and framing so much, and it could be from his PR team (which might be just him). I do believe that subliminally repetition takes its toll, but even if thought to be "disproving"  things, it is reinforcing them in our psyches somehow as a kernel of doubt.

    Inherent difference: GOP main 'policy' is not to have so much goverment policy! As in Ronnie's popular joke about "I'm from the goverment and I'm here to help." This much virtually all voters get! They don't want their taxes to go to paying someone to write a 600-page policy paper and judge it likely that any 'policy' that needs one will also be a big expensive fail. I'm actually inclined to agree since I moved to NYC and saw the waste, grift and corruption of big and expensive long-term government bureaucracy. Only "FDR liberals' are pro this kind of stuff and they are also the ones that have branded the Dem party that way in most minds. If you're gonna have a big, expensive government, best to have an Independent type like Bloomberg riding herd on it so that is efficient.

    This is why swings might chose Trump over Kamala Harris. She is branded as an FDR-liberal type, unfairly or not. Joe not so much, though to my mind he hasn't done enough 'Sister Souljah' moments as president to remind that he's not one to support 600-page policy papers on medical coverage for trans people and that his life record as a politician is 'support Joe Sixpack, don't hinder him with big gummint by elites."     A consultant for the IRS has been charged with leaking to the news media private tax information about former President Donald Trump and thousands of the nation’s wealthiest people.

    Charles Littlejohn, 38, of Washington, D.C., stole the files while working as a government contractor and gave them to two news organizations, the Justice Department announced Friday.

    The agency doesn’t identify the outlets, though it appears to be referring to ProPublica and the New York Times.

    In a court document, the government says the leaks included information about “Public Official A,” which a person familiar with the charges confirmed is Trump.

    The 3 critical Midwest swing states that switched to Trump by a total of 70k votes ( This jerkoff had a following of 51k - how much their retweeting got blacks to stay home - including swing states - probably wasn't part of the trial (it's illegal whatever the actual outcome), but it wasn't benign.

    Uh, this was Georgia charges - RICO, voting machines, fraud, et al. She still faces federal charges. Still, people should expect a high profile witess will be more useful than one of the crowd, and sentence lengths have also varied considerably based on part played in violence and/or planning.

    But some will want to play the "everything's unfair!" card, and so it is - welcome to fickle justice.

    New York Attorney General Letitia James blindsides Ivanka Trump during today’s testimony by releasing bombshell courtroom evidence that proves that Ivanka was FULLY AWARE that her father Donald Trump committed financial fraud.

    Attorney General James showed the judge devastating emails in which Ivanka Trump proposed lowering the required net worth for her father Donald Trump to personally back the Deutsche Bank loan that he eventually ended up receiving. 

    According to Attorney General James, the final agreement for the Deutsche Bank loan required that Donald Trump, as the guarantor, maintain a minimum net worth of $2.5 billion — down from the initial $3 billion that the bank initially required.

    The email revealed by James in court today shows that Ivanka personally proposed a change to lower the net worth requirement for her father to $2 billion — a tacit admission that she KNEW that her father was over-inflating his net worth, which at the time, Donald Trump declared was $4.2 billion on the statement of financial condition that he filed when he applied for the billion dollar loan.

    According to Attorney General James, this fraud allowed Trump to obtain better loan rates. An expert witness for the attorney general testified earlier in the trial that Trump’s “ill-gotten gains” from the fraud totaled a whopping $168 million.

    Not only is this devastating for Ivanka and Donlad Trump in this massive $250 civil fraud trial — it also exposes them to criminal liability, which Attorney General James has hinted she may later charge them criminally.....

    Trump tries to embrace Black Lives Matter, a group he previously said ‘hates our country’

    Former president Donald Trump on Wednesday touted the support he has received from a Black Lives Matter activist, inaccurately claiming that he’s receiving broader support from the group — which he has denounced and blamed for violence for years.

    Trump wrote Wednesday on Truth Social, his social media platform, that he spoke with Mark Fisher — the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island — and was “very honored to have his and BLM’s support.” He also repeated his frequent assertion that he has “done more for Black people than any other President.”

    Fisher, a former Democrat who founded Maryland-based BLM Inc., recently expressed his support for Trump, telling Fox News, “We’re not stupid. … We understand when someone’s for us and when someone is not, and it’s obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us.”

    BLM Inc. states on its website that it is “not affiliated with any other Black Lives Matter Movement” and it is “not politically focused or driven nor do we align or affiliate with any particular political party or politics.”

    The founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island, Gary Dantzler, told WPRI he was “disgusted” by Fisher’s remarks and that Fisher “does not represent Black Lives Matter.” He said in a separate interview with the Providence Journal that Fisher was “absolutely not” a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island but that he did work as an advocate for the group for a matter of months.

    Black Lives Matter RI PAC — an organization separate from Black Lives Matter Rhode Island — released a joint statement with the national Black Lives Matter organization, despite there being no affiliation between them, that sought to make clear that Fisher was not affiliated with their groups, calling the endorsement of Trump “a publicity stunt” and Fisher “an imposter.”

    “Anyone can start an organization and add the words Black Lives Matter to it in an attempt to muddy the waters of our movement, as Mark Fisher did,” the groups said in the joint statement. “His organization is illegitimate and not in any way connected to the righteous BLM community fighting to protect and save Black lives. Continuing to call Mark Fisher a Black Lives Matter leader is disingenuous and inappropriate.”

    The groups went on to call Trump “no friend to Black people seeking to live in a just society.”[....]
