So welcome to Week Two of the Did-It-Matter-Meter. If the main theme of Trump’s wild first week was that it’s important to separate knee-jerk media freakouts from true signs of dramatic change, the main theme of his even wilder second week was that it’s hard to keep track of all the true signs of dramatic change when they’re all getting jumbled together. We’ll try to un-jumble them here, but the most consistent takeaway from Trump’s two-week blitzkrieg of action, commotion, weird tweets and brazen untruths is that America has floated into the uncharted here-be-dragons section of the map. And the waves are getting pretty rough.

Bannon was in the Gulf on a navy ship for 5 days around the disastrous Operation Claw Eagle, and has parlayed that tiny 3 years junior officer sea experience and less than a year as "assistant" to the Chief Naval Officer (preparing for retirement after Reagan's election) into some right-wing uber-defense mythology.
After 37 years rubbing his palms together, guess he got in too much a hurry and jizzed before he got her pants off. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. How will 4 more years of adolescent military wet dreams go? As they said in Rambo, "Do we get to not look stupid this time?" Fraid not.
5 years learning to handle a boat and 2 years getting a Masters Degree isn't much of a National Secuirty calling. Poor Steve, reality never keeps up with his fantasies.
