The intra-Palestinian meeting in Moscow has precedent
— Hanna Notte (@HannaNotte) February 29, 2024
Russia's hosted such meetings in the past, most recently Feb 2019
Russia has long lamented the US' "monopolization" of the peace process & tried to carve out a niche for itself: mediating among the disunited Palestinians/2

Location: U.S. Embassy and residential compounds
Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.
Actions to take:
- Avoid the area;
- Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;
- Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and
- If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.

A mass expulsion of Afghan migrants could destabilize the region and fuel radicalization. The West should pressure Islamabad to change course.
All eyes on #Chad right now
Chad has two internet trunks coming into the country: One from the Red Sea via Sudan; the other from Cameroon. Not possible for the totality of the country's internet network to be shut unless done centrally. A lot of rumors swirling; few facts. https://t.co/N6bDJZ2ixO

Trump ordered tampering and harassment of possible FBI witnesses back in June.
Seth Abramson notes those who misleadingly leaked key FBI internal info to influence an election, like Giuliani, Jim Kallstrom, Joe DiGenova were never never named or investigated, much less punished and fired (or taunted and threatened on Twitter).
I'm wondering whether he can sue Trump for those taunts - seemingly beyond the normal prerogatives of a president and more like the harrassment of a boss.

McCabe can still collect his pension at age 60, as per FBI benefit rules on 20+ years service, leave before age 50.
As a return gift for his GOP pre-birthday present today, he could recoup some of the lost pension money, perhaps more even, if he writes a book on the last year or two, titles? LAWLESS, The Presidency of Donald Trump...?

here's the actual skinny on the pension requirements from Jaqueline Thomson @ The Hill?

I'm totally ok with it. Either his behavior was so egregious that he deserved it, which I doubt. Or it was vindictive undeserved punishment of a massive proportion. That will piss off many in the FBI and make them more likely to take on Trump. And as NCD mentioned, make it more likely McCabe will write a tell all book.
by ocean-kat on Sat, 03/17/2018 - 1:53am
Oh, I think he can make much more suing a vindictive boss. Perhaps even a personal lawsuit, we'll see.

Who cares what he says? He chairs the House Ethics Committee - what's he going to do about it? The answer is nothing - like others who are retiring after their current term, he's free to speak but apparently not to act.

Who cares what he says? Newsmax, for one! And probably "Peter not verified" too.
