    NOAH'S ARK

Last night I viewed two or three hours of the National Geographic Channel that centered upon Noah's Ark.

    Okay?

So there I saw men in their early 40's? And these men were (once again) demonstrating that there was in fact a Noah's Ark; that all wild life (except for those who thrive in the seas or the fresh lakes?) had been destroyed by the wrath of God (what the hell did a hippo ever do that transgressed the laws of God?) and so God chose Noah

    To build an Ark?

Here's where Cosby would save me but he has had probs lately?

So anyway, the  Humans had pissed God off so bad that he decided to end the world--except he saved one 'family of humans?' and so God told Noah to build a boat that was basically (now we get into cubits and crap) somewhat two football fields long and one football field wide and higher than the sky?)

And so then all these animals showed up from 7 continents?

And yet we have advertisements concerning incontinence?

    All at the same time?

And they all (7,000?) animals entered this Ark  two by two

(So now we are at 14,000 animals with no allowance for gay animals?) without allowance for creepy crawly thingies and Noah saved the planet.

But how did 7,000 species of Mammals and Lizards end up as 15 million species?

I do not even wish to get into this argument.
This stuff just got to me in light of the recent elections. Well the deluge fell and after 40 days and 40 nights.....

But parts of this Genesis farce also note that there are 140 days and....

    OH WHO THE FUCK CARES?

Anyway, here are regular humans speaking about how much this crap is true?

But these real folks grant me no solace.

If the experts could save us; WHY THE FUCK CANNOT THESE EXPERTS SAVE US ALL FROM THE GODS WHO WOULD PUNISH US?

    Who knows?

But these National Geographic video folks, show us individuals in their early 40's? telling us that the Bible represents Divine Truth (even though there are contradictions of course) and that 6001 years ago the universe (not just our solar system or our earth or....) was created and that ....

    DAMN THIS MAKES ME MAD

These proponents of nutso do not reside in insane asylums. These folks are not only amongst us as it were. They vote and they are paid to talk like this. So half of the  45%? of the Electorate (no reason to capitalize idiocy but there you have it!) that voted for Trump believe that there was a time when God hated all of mankind and all of the wild life on this planet....

    WHAT?

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Okay, so this guy just shows up out of TV land and starts saying:

    I AM THE GREATEST.

and then he says that he

    CAN FIX AMERICA

(Without really describing what is wrong with America or even what is wrong with his own hair?)

    and then he says that

ALL OTHERS WHO TELL YOU THIS STUFF ARE LIARS AND LOSERS AND BAD PEOPLE

But remember, half of this man's base politically speaking, are morons who really believe in the Noah's Ark fairy tale and the Biblical exposition and in ?

So this new ---BEAR WITH ME NOW FOR CHRISSAKES!

Constituents? They inform us that they voted for Trump because he would show those Big Banks something  and punish them for what they did to 'us' and that Trump would give us jobs and Trump will destroy the Washington DC elite and that...

So Trump goes ahead and nominates into his Cabinet all these Big Bank folks and all these DC folks and all these anti-labor robot enthusiasts and....

    OKAY, OKAY

So now these people of the 45 % are here along with the 22% who believe in the fairy tale of Noah's Ark.

NOW HOW THE FUCK IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE?

mY PC IS MAD i SHALL RETURN

Again, there were these seemingly erudite and well-read men in their early forties speaking like they knew something?

How can you argue with these people? How am I supposed to relate to these people?

Trump said he wished to use the nuclear armaments that we have or he certainly wondered why we have not--and I assume he is speaking to issues arising since 1945?

Why do we have a One China Policy?

Why should we remain part of NATO?

Why should we trade with Mexico?

Why should we ignore the fact that out of nowhere, China has 350 million people who seem to be part of a new middle class where almost no middle class existed before?

Why should we allow women with real physical problems to work with their physicians with regard to their pregnancies and abort when the life of the mother is at issue?

Why should old folks who worked all their lives be entitled to SS?

Why should our national Security experts be eschewed and disgraced and humiliated because our new leader tells us so?

    Okay.

Look, how would you argue with the constituents who are
promoting Trump's 'positions' on these subjects.

I see that I would never win an argument with anyone in this Noah's Clan.

The constituents who tell us that Noah really existed or that he had an ark or that he saved the planet or that he was 900 years old when he died or....

HOW THE FUCK WOULD I EVER BE ABLE TO ARGUE WITH THEM AND SHOW THEM HOW THEY ARE SO VERY VERY WRONG?

HOW COULD I EVER SHOW THESE PEOPLE THAT THEY ARE WRONG?

    SEE, I AM DONE.

    NOT FOREVER.

HELL I WILL BE LONG DEAD BEFORE FOREVER.

    But I remain angry.

    I remain
     befuddled?

I shall supplement this silly blog with other things.

But today, I am in deep despondency.

    hahahahha

I do not even know what it is that I wish to express anymore?

Doing basic math, Dick - the total volume [of the oceans] is approximately 1.35 billion cubic kilometers (320 million cu mi) with an average depth of nearly 3,700 meters (12,100 ft). The tallest mountain is 8.8 km. About 70% of earth is covered by water, or say 2/3 (with total surface area of earth at 510 million square kiilometers.

So for water to rise to the tops of the mountains would mean 8.8 * 510 million, or roughly 4.5 billion cubic kilometers. Giving them a break, that Mount Ararat is only 5140 meters, that's still 2.6 billion cubic kilometers, or about twice the amount of water in the oceans.

And if rained 40 days and 40 nights to drop even 5100 meters, that's some 130 meters a day. whereas the Amazon gets typically 108 *inches* of rain a *year*, or less than 3 meters. The amount of rain dropped in a good hurricane is on the order of 15-20 inches, so say half a meter. What was the roof of the ark built with, titanium?

Now, new evidence suggests there may be huge amounts of water stored 400-600 miles inside the earth, but that's a huge guess to say a vast amount twice as much as the current oceans popped out of the earth (from somewhere - big holes?), rained 40 days and nights, and then went back after some cooling off period into the rocks 400-600 miles below.  That time to drain? over 10 months until low enough *to see the top of mountains*. And then after 40 days (the timing gets strange here), plus 2 more weeks, Noah sends out a bird, and lo and behold, that bird finds a "freshly plucked olive leaf". To quote Bill Cosby, "riiigghhht". Earth's been under water for about a year, yet there's a nice fresh green olive tree within a couple days of the flood subsiding.

And if you've ever been around after a flood, you know how stuff rots and stinks and carries disease and just is really unpleasant and deadly to be around. And this one killed *everything*. A problem for our intrepid travelers? Not much - they were more focused on building an altar and sacrificing some of the precious animals that now needed to repopulate earth. Think of that - maybe gargoyles didn't die out from the flood, but from a bit too rapacious tithing. Though technically there might have been enough to spare - the Bible says *7 pairs* of each mammal and bird, and some of them may have reproduced more than once over a year. Anyway, it's pretty curious the lines that don't add up when you have some understanding of basic science.

    Ooooooh Peracles.

I hereby render unto Peracles the Dayly Line of the Day Award for this here Dagblag Site, given to all of him from all of me for this gem:

And if you've ever been around after a flood, you know how stuff rots and stinks and carries disease and just is really unpleasant to be around.

    hahahahahahaahahahahah

You mean like the stink we have experienced since the watershed election we just experienced? hahahahahahahahahahah

Ah, Dylan's Nobel is more important than anything some prick businessman from New York matters - I'm just riffing on "Down in the Flood" and the song he picked for Patti Smith to elegize him, "A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall".

My PC crashed again. It does this when I am of two minds. hahahha

    or

    Jesus Peracles, I missed this!

    THANK YOU!

30 MILES FROM HERE WE FOUND BOBBY!

He never really forgot his roooooots.

    What is a root anyway?

Anyway, this is where he grew up.

This really, by the way, as if it makes any difference, is my favorite Dylan.

    Thank you!

I wrote a blog about this song; it was from a 12th? century ode? wonderful. Even with the initial screw up?

    WOW

You made my weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. no kidding.

I cannot let go of this Peracles!

    Damn!

Here is one of my favorite renditions that I bore our readers with all the time! hahahah

But Leon just died not so long ago and he edited it but who the fuck cares?

The Gilgamesh flood cuneiform tablets from 700BC tell of a flood caused by the Gods, an ark to save animals etc and the tale origin goes back to 2500BC. Noah was just a sequel update.

The phony Christians who believe this stuff don't even get to first base on the attitude and social behavior proscribed by Jesus but religiously and unwaveringly follow the Rush/Hannity/Fox line, their brains are now hard wired and will never change. The ideology will go with them to the grave, which could be a watery one from climate change deluges.

Ah, but Melville borrowed Ishmael from a faraway clime, and his tale - a watery grave as well - is none the worse for wear. Yeah, the Noah story's a bit weak, a few stanzas vs the much more inspired Gilgamesh, - like comparing the original Beowulf with some Brad Pitt remake, and the facts are all blinkered.... If only they had given us a Herodotus perspective, rather than just trying to continually pitch "God's Will". The Babylonians were a bit more relaxed than that.

Yeah NCD, a watery one for sure. hahahhah

    But the deluge?

    I love that word. Deluge.

It is kind of nice and has a nice ring to it, do not you agree?

I am dead. Maybe not today but within a decade? And those who insist upon idiocy shall prevail.

Except my son, his bride and the little pixies of course. hahahah

Following the deluge; hell I forgot about ole Jackson Browne

Thank you, I forgot the DELUGE.

OH NCD this reminded me of this song set along the same pace as Deluge:

I used to play this all the time! ha

Great songs. Love Jackson Browne's music.

    NCD...

Take this for what it's worth...

The Lost Book of Enki...The words of Lord Enki

Snipped from The Ninth Tablet - Page 164

When the avalanche of waters sweeps over the lands,

Other living creatures, some by us from Nibiru originated, most from Earth itself evolved,

In one sudden swoop to an extinction shall be doomed.

Let us, you and me, their seed of life preserve, their life essences for safekeeping extract.

Ninmah, she who gave life, to the words of Enki favor gave:

I shall do it in Shurubak, you do so with the Abzu's living creatures! So to Enki she said.

    While the others sat idly waiting, Enki and Ninmah a challenging task undertook;

Ninrnah in Shurubak by some of her female assistants was helped,

Enki by Ningishzidda in the Abzu, at the olden House of Life, was assisted.

Male and female essences and life-eggs they collected,

Of each kind two by two, two by two they in Shurubak and the Abzu preserved,

For safekeeping while in Earth circuit to be taken, thereafter the living kinds to recombine.

At that time word from Ninurta came: Earth's rumblings ominous are!

At that time word from Nergal and Ereshkigal came: The Whiteland is shaken!

In Sippar all the Anunnaki gathered, the Day of the Deluge they awaited.

    I love me some mythology...

Thanks hadn't heard of this writer. His tales are intriguing with their connections to his interpretations of ancient history.

    Hey Strato; HOW YA DOIN?

Great RS article and I enjoyed it because of you.

Remember that poster a lot of us had with bands like The Birds streaming out of Bobby's head?

I would never had predicted this Nobel Award. Never!

But the event or the award or whatever you call this moment in time, really pleased me.

    Thank you for the link.

But even with comments sometimes I must add some music:

How often could we view a double entendre like this; even though the sound is just fucking offal. hahahah

I guess I feel like birds are flying out of my head too. But no direction home.

I feel personally threatened by the big elephant in the room. But I'm a donkey.

So I'm donkumenting everything.  Ha. So glad you are too.

Speaking of Christian myths, what do you think of T-Rex Tillerson

    as Secretary of Snakes?

    hahahahahah Oh Strato.

Yeah, I guess I have to render unto Strato the Dayly Line of the Day Award for this here Dagblog Site, given to all of Strato from all of me for this gem:

    T-Rex Tillerson

    hahahahahah

    WELL DONE!

Thanks so much D. You made my day. From all of me. To all of you. Maybe my mind IS coming back. Ha

I have election fatigue big time.  My cure has been Hallmark Christmas movies on you tub.  I have been watching them since July.  It started with Christmas in July.   My advice if you haven't figured out why so many voted for Trump by now, you may not ever understand, so start thinking about how the Democrats can rebuild their party. I think that is easier to figure out.

I think that Trump voters are gullible. What is your conclusion of why people voted for Trump? Hillary did get more than 2.8 million more votes.

rmrd I was thinking about this very issue.

And calling them morons or whatever does no good.

Loobama takes office in 2009 and the repubs by 2010 tell us that the only aim they have in life is to make President Obama a one term president.

So there is an impasse as it were just like on Christie's highway to NY and nothing gets done.

See, but stuff did get done, it was just that thousands of House bills were stiffled?

So these folks decided that it would be better if somethings were done.

These folks will discover in short order that things will be done of course.

But these folks might not like the things that are about to be done.

    hahahah

    That's all I got.

They know they need Obamacare. They know that Trump campaigned on dismantling Obamacare. They don't believe that Trump will destroy such an important program. They know that Trump will not build the wall. They know Mexico will not pay for the wall. They do not care. I don't know how you can make a dent in that thought process.

    RMRD you got this right.

Even the repubs in the Senate know they cannot dispossess twenty or thirty million from health care; even though we know there are twenty million plus who are still uninsured. And that does not include ....

They do not care as you say. But.....

    I have high hopes

They can do it and they will, at TPM reports are the GOP is already fudging the numbers that would lose insurance.

They are as capable of destroying and sucking all the money out of the healthcare system as they did the real estate market, banks etc. They can no more resist cutting taxes on the rich come hell or high water than an alcoholic can resist the next drink.

One major problem is that the news sources used by Trump supporters often don't report certain facts. In a discussion with a man who feels fully informed, I found that he was completely unaware that Trump settled the lawsuit against his bogus university. The man is simply unequipped to deal with the fact that Trump is a con man.

The default Party for many uneducated whites is Republican. Includes particularly the Fox brainwashed 'working class' and poor whites. Voting Republican among them has been compared to 'dress up'.

Where they can, for the moment it takes to vote and pull the lever, pretend they are country club white big shots like one of Trumps billionaires or Mitt Romney.

When the GOP blows up the economy they quietly vote Democrat,  but when their wallets are fat, dress up and racism brings them back to the GOP.

    r

You can't win an election with just heavily Democratic California and New York.  It has to be more then just the 2 coasts. You can't favor only certain regions of the country.  The strategy has to be all the states and their counties. You can't go around insulting voters because they voted differently when your candidate failed to win their support. The Democrats have lost 900 seats since Obama took office and we have to rebuild from the ground up starting in the states.

The Republicans are going to go on a big binge.  They are going to be so deep into their champaign  that they are going to regret this roofie big time the morning after they find themselves in a ditch covered with their own vomit.  We have to be ready with good candidates because the voters will turn their backs on that party too. Candidates that are 100% behind the people and not in bed with the 1%.

DNC ran a candidate that was the poster girl for the establishment in an anti establishment election and she lost.

I agree that democrats need a 50 state strategy. But I hate this meme that we just win California and New York or that we just win the coasts. Hillary won Colorado, New Mexico, Illinois, Nevada, and Minnesota. None of which are coastal states. And in several states she lost it was only by a few points. Michigan was a dead heat, .5 difference. Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were lost by a point. Even red-ish Arizona was close, only a 4 point difference. Yes, we lost the presidency and we've been losing state governments. We need to do better in rural areas and the states that are almost all a rural area. But let's not exaggerate the size of our loss.

Momoe, part of the reason it was an "antiestablishment" election was people saying how bad things were and  making shit up. Sound famliar? On a reality-based level, what issues got worse under Obama? He deported tons of Mexicans even and there were only a couple lone-wolf terrorist attacks, while unemployment came way down from Bush's disaster. Did a $7.65 minimum wage earner distinguish between $12 or $15? Was single payer of interest to those who loved or hated Obamacare?

OT.   Richard my youngest grandson won a bike for Christmas at his school.  They had a breakfast with Santa on Sat. morning and the kids put their name on the back of their breakfast receipt. The breakfast was a fund raiser. They drew the name on Monday morning and he won.  He got to ride the bike up and down the hallway to show it off.  When he was called to the office he was scared and thought he was in trouble.  It is really a nice one. lime green Huffy. He is a happy that he got a bike for Christmas. Actually I think Putin rigged it.

    Hey Momoe.

    Sometimes the good guys win!

I love the fact that he thought he was in trouble. hahahhaah

I don't know why. It just got to me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS for chrissakes to you and yours.

    Merry Christmas to you too.
