    Years ago I wrote a blog about a female presidential candidate and folks were unsettled with regard to my hypotheses through their comments.

    Lately on shows like Lawrence O'Donnell we are presented with experts who feel that donald is a narcissacist or manic depressive or whatever.

    Years ago I recall citing the list of characteristics that might apply to a sociopath or a psychopath.


    In the end, these diagnoses do not work because of the qualitative nature of those characteristics as defined.
    I mean that I would ascribe all the characteristics of a psychopath to all the repubs I hate.


    I would, of course, list parts of their speeches or their interviews or their legislation or....
    But this type of analysis gets us nowhere.

    As far as I am concerned Jindl and Bachman and Palin and Cruz and Rubio and Gulliani and a host of other GOP kingmen are all nuts.


    So I came across this post at Salon that is more than 90 days old.

    This post got to me.


    Evidently, Trump's Old Man suffered from Alzheimer's Disease?


    We have become so accustomed to these sorts of ramblings that we don’t really register them as anything more than standard nonsensical Trump-speak—a pattern of speech we have seen crop up across the GOP in recent years, most notably in Palin’s gibberish.  But I urge you to re-read the exchange above and register the range of nonsense—the lack of basic grammar, the odd syntax, the abrupt shift in topic, the disconnect from reality, the paranoia, and the seeming inability to even grasp the question.

    This shrink goes on to note the only piece of medical records concerning Trump involve one 'opinion' by his treating physician.


    The next real warning sign was the doctor letter Trump trotted out to show that he was in fine shape.  The Daily Beast jokingly said that the letter was more insane than Trump’s campaign.  But, at the time, no one expected him to still be the frontrunner today.  I urge you to take a look and re-read the letter now.
    Basically, the medical doctor who wrote this strange 'opinion' just relayed his opinion that Trump was the healthiest man in America today?

    Last October, Death and Taxes ran a piece wondering if Trump had dementia.  They pointed to the fact that Trump’s father, Fred, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s six years prior to his death.  They also highlighted Trump’s aggressive late-night tweets, his childish behavior, his name-calling and mood swings.  They explained that it would be really easy for Trump take some tests and prove that he is mentally fit. “Because if Trump can prove he’s not suffering from a degenerative neurological disorder that has left him with a damaged mind devoid of all shame or self-awareness, he might just be an asshole.”


    I will tell you that the thing that got to me was the response given by Trump to a question involving David Duke where Donald denied that he ever heard of David Duke.

    I am reversing my opinion about that denial. I think that Trump may not have been lying at all; he just had no idea at the time who David Duke actually was.

    At the time that Trump was confronted with the David Duke shit, I really believe that Donald had no idea who David Duke was. Anymore than Trump knew what Brexit was.

    The latest 'situation' involved something I saw on Mornin Joke this morning.

    This General told us that Trump was briefed by military men (chosen by the GOP of course) and at least three times, Trump wondered why we never use nuclear weapons?

    Donald is falling apart. The scarier thing about this scenario is that it makes us trust the MSM even less. Trump was the media darling. He gave telephone interviews and never faced hard questions.We know that the media hid Reagan's senility from the public. Now they have provided free press to Donald Trump despite that fact that he was bigoted and ignorant.

    We should not expect honor from the Republican leadership. We know they place power above country. We do expect MSM to provide us with facts. The unfolding Donald Trump story shows us that we (the public) are on our own. Joy Reid pointed out the problem in an article at the Daily Beast today.

    Just in case we all needed something else to worry about, this is my latest fear:

    Donald has a breakdown, or quits when he realizes he is losing.

    They bring in Ryan, or even Mitt, (anyone really, except Cruz) and that person will seem so relatively sane and brilliant that all the GOPers who have jumped ship will come back.  Even some Dems who were voting HRC just to keep Trump away from the White House may vote GOP.

    Our only hope is the the GOP base will stay home in protest.

    I think this could really happen, and it scares the dickens out of me.  I think the debates could be his undoing.  He would be such a loser.

    So my only hope it that he hangs on until November 7th.

    Hard to believe but FWIW a friend who knows him claims the Trump's campaign persona is fake. He discovered it worked in the early primaries so he continued and exaggerated it. 

    It's different but perhaps related that one of the NPR personalities (forget whom-maybe Terry ?) carried an interview yesterday with a biographer of Trump's who described Trump's introduction to the New York scene. Knowing that he needed  help Trump joined a club whose membership included Roy Cohn who befriended him. 

    At the time Trump was being sued by the Nixon Justice Department for discrimination.  Cohn advised him to respond by personally attacking the Justice attorneys and this helped to negotiate a favorable settlement. 

    Sort of off the point , but later Cohn represented Trump in negotiating his "prenup" with Ivana and arranged (perhaps selected her attorney?) for its terms to be against her interests.  

    Maybe he (Trump) is  crazy like a fox?

    Trump is insane. He lucked into a political party that rejects knowledge and is xenophobic. More rational candidates in the GOP were rejected. Trump was the last man standing. Paul Ryan criticizes Trump's racism and his criticism of the Khans, but Ryan is still voting for Trump. Trump called war hero McCain a loser. Trump suggests bringing back torture. McCain rejects the use of torture. McCain is voting for Trump. Trump is insane. The GOP is under a mass psychosis. 

    Consider a group of ethnic minorities acting like the GOP. We would be discussing a terrorist group.A group of Gays or women who were as looney tunes as the GOP would be considered equally out of step. Donald Trump is crazy. Foxes are wise enough to want any tie to Trump severed.

    They live in an alternate reality. Tax-dodger Bundy pointed guns at federal agents is labeled a hero. Black Lives Matter protests homicides of citizens by the police and is labeled a terrorist group. 

    I was talking to two Republicans today. You could tell that both knew Trump stunk to high heaven, but they diverted to the DNC emails. The claim was that in the leaked emails, the DNC referred to Latinos as "Taco Bell experiments". I did a quick search on my cell phone and found that the DNC responded to a Cinco de Mayo tweet by Donald Trump praising tacos by producing a video that ridiculed the tweet. That was the "Taco Bell experiment". Republicans, in general, are gullible. When I heard the statement, I went looking to verify the accuracy. No such effort was made by the two Republicans. To be honest, they would have run into obstacles in finding the truth because many right wing websites carried the phase snippet without putting it in context. There was no racist slam of Latinos by the DNC.

    It's an ideological bubble. I note Governor Scott (R) of Florida is now, for the first time since zika was found spreading in Miami last week, pleading that he needs federal funds ASAP. 

    Of course Obama got good advice from CDC, anticipated this event, and asked Scott's Republican soul mates in Congress for funds for zika in February and they have allocated not a dime.

    Hate to use the Nazi analogy, but it literally took the shock of thousands of 152mm Russian artillery shells falling on them and their homes for the more true believing, gullible Germans to realize they were being lied to by the propaganda/ideology of the master race, ultimate victory.....etc see Red Storm on the Reich.

    You have to be able to take as good as you give in this rough and tumble political game, RD and while you seem to be tough enough some people here have very thin skins. Your opinion about Trump's mental state is just an opinion as is mine about the mental state of Clintonites although the Clintonites display their aberrant behavior proudly and often.

    I see Trump as weary from a long and draining campaign but he still seems on top of his game and while not scripted his rhetoric is targeted for maximum effect among his supporters, possible supporters and the Clintonites who spin nutty memes such as 'the Russians are coming' from his clever lure about 'if'  the Russians have Clinton's 30,000 shredded emails he'd like to see them, hahahahah.  Trump certainly fits in the capitalist pig category while Clinton is a political parasite feeding off the capitalist pigs and championing their agendas. Why support a parasite who is dependent and serving when a real capitalist unencumbered by these ties and needs is available?

    Clinton's aberrant behavior is well documented although she and her minions work very hard to groom her public image, her display of almost sexual appearing pleasure when she viewed the anal rape and murder of Gadaffi was chilling and can't be erased or explained away as a normal human reaction. Her Libya conquest was supposed to be her crowning achievement as SOS and bragging point during the election but they had to remove that chapter from her book when things went to hell there as anyone with half a brain could have foreseen. .

    Libyans refused to relinquish their freedoms to a corrupt UN backed 'nanny state' system and a rigged 2012 election.  Libyans for once enjoy full 2nd Amendment rights in the form of about 1,700 militias.  Free access and possession of guns are the First Freedom, and the most important.

    If Hillary made any misjudgment there it was that Libyans saw her, and what she represented, exactly as you have so often and eloquently described here.

I don't even have any idea what you consider BS since you don't mention it or challenge it. You just insult people.

    Was there a single rational argument in your post for us to debate? I see only two points. Dagbloggers are nuts verging on hysterical. Hillary supporters will take daily doses of Prozac if Trump wns and sales will skyrocket. Try to face the reality of who you are at dagblog. You are just the Don Rickles of dagblog. Except that some people think Rickles is funny. Are you capable of being more than that? Is that who you are in real life?     Flav. the blinders and ear-cotton you are required to wear in the Clintonite Collective leaves you unable to distinguish between a right wing attack and a very far left wing critique of your position in the Extreme Center. I've only voted once for a republican and that was to unseat an extremely corrupt and arrogant democrat sheriff. That vote and my vote for Nader in 2000 are the only votes i am proud of and  i'd like to believe they made a difference.

    BTW Hillary has returned to her pathological lying again this time claiming the FBI verified she didn't tell any lies about the email scandal, Director Comey tells a different story and says she did lie in her public statements but not in her FBI interview which her five lawyers probably made possible.

    Please distnguish between what Comey said and what "the FBI" said and how other parts of government view our security apparatus and regulations. Comey gave a political, not factual, speech. Hillary responds with her own political speech but not necessarily counterfactual. Life in bureaucracy-land goes on. If it were up to the FBI, we'd all have trackers on and be given lie detector tests every day. The NSA doesn't need this as they have probes up our butts and all our data sniffed anyway. The FBI has snuck around so many court-ordered limits on their authority and overreach, from the scandalous times of J. Edgar Hoover through the dark post-9/11 years that it's very strange to see liberals find them their law and order friend just because they don't like a... fairly liberal ally. With friends like these, we all deserve Trumps.

    The psychopathology of the Trump supporter was on full display on "Real Time" tonight. Rick Santorum appeared along side Tara Setmayer, an African-American Conservative. Santorum was not swayed by Mahrer pointing out the lies that Trump told during his speeches. Santorum did not show any empathy when Setmayer, a veteran of 20 years of Republican activism mentioned that she had never experienced the level of racism in the GOP as she experienced at Trump rallies. Despite being a Republican, she received death threats. It was clear that Santorum did not care. What became clear was that Santorum was focused on the fact that he wanted the Conservative Supreme Court justices that Trump would select. Racism was not an issue for Santorum. This is the modern GOP.

    They made the full jump to "ends justifies the means" 2-3 decades ago. Ok, Nixon was a bit "if the prez says it, it's legal" but he was still largely obeying the traffic lights and following process. Donald's just following the standard "it's rigged, we're under attack" mantra of the right since Limbaugh became ascendant - find a button and keep pushing it. By now, Santorum's just another Children of the Korn.

    I have to add this tidbit.

    I am watching this old Simpson episode from 2005.

    Simpson's wife castigates Homer for acting like Mussolini whilst the family is in Italy.

    I thought that I  was only acting like Trump.

    hahhhahahah

    That episode is 11 years old for chrissakes.
