There is no budget crisis ... (?!)

Alan Grayson says there is no fiscal crisis, and that we've all just given in to the GOP crises mindset, and that Social Security has $2 trillion dollars in the bank ...  D'OH!

Here is the problem with SS.

What has happened is that the payroll tax has become a regressive tax because Congress just takes the money and adds it to the general budget payouts.

And not only that, but the richest end up paying nothing over $120 grand.

Oh there are chits and such that the left can 'latch' onto for argument's sake.

    THE REPUBS HAVE WON!

If you think Grayson is over the top with saying he sees people living in their cars in his district, he is not.  I have 3 homeless camps within a quarter of a mile from my house in different directions. They are hidden in over grown orange groves.  Either Obama spent too much time at the University of Chicago or he is playing a game of chess with the Republicans in the House.  I hope it is chess.  Also Grayson knows 25% of the voters are over 65 in Florida and they are paying very close to this issue.

No, I'm not saying Grayson is over the top, I'm trying to express how flummoxed and pissed off I am that we have to continually play on the game field of Republican misinformation and lies.

Now I see where the Welfare waiver lie and the Obama buying votes with free phones lie are both back on the GOP agenda.  It never freaking ends.  What wooden stakes do we have to drive through their hearts?

The GOP is not the main problem, they are merely the messenger. It is the craziness that has to be killed ... Yeah, I know, the GOP IS the main problem, because they have embraced the craziness so much it's hard to distinguish where the messenger ends and the message begins, but never mind that.

We have to kill the craziness before the craziness destroys us.

P.S.  Why aren't the Tea Party types up in arms about the situation in Michigan, where the duly elected government has been replaced by "managers" chosen by the governor? Isn't that exactly the "Government coming to take away our rights and run roughshod over the Constitution" issue they are always ranting about?

The craziness ... I want to cry for my country, because it looks as if the craziness is never going to stop.

Poor choice of words on my part.  I agree with you.  I just wanted readers to know that Grayson is speaking the truth about how difficult it is for some in Florida.

Sometimes I think the end game is to let the republicans have enough rope to hang themselves.  It does get me down.

I understand Michigan Republicans has a weak bench coming up for the state wide elections in 2014.  You won't see too many venturing out of their safe gerrymandered seats to run state wide.  There is hope for MI.
