Mitt Romney To Denounce Birtherism and Voter Suppression At NAACP Convention.

Mitt Romney is scheduled to speak at the 2012 NAACP National Convention in Houston on Wednesday June 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. I have received an advanced copy of Romney's speech, and I am flabbergasted. Romney will publicly denounce Donald Trump as a racist birther and will state that he refuses to appear in public with Trump again.

Romney will also criticize those Republican officials who are using a snipe hunt for voter fraud as a means of suppressing minority votes. Romney says this harkens back to the days of the poll tax used to keep minorities from voting.

    ......Oops!

My mistake, I was reading from an advanced copy of Joe Biden's speech to the NAACP on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

    Never mind.

    Mitt Romney, Moderate Again?
The booing wasn’t the big story from his speech to the N.A.A.C.P.
    by John Cassidy @ newyorker.com, July 11, 2012

The New Yorker writer set the bar low for Romney. Mitt did not address his buddy Trump's Birtherism or more importantly voter suppression. Romney showed up at a gathering of likely voters who happen to be black. Big deal.

Romney said nothing. He is no moderate and has no connection to the common man.

From a practical standpoint, it makes sense to vote for the Democrat. Contrary to popular belief, the stock market does better under Democrats than Republicans. I love my stock portfolio therefore I need the Democrat to win. For most of the American public, the tax rate is the lowest in years. Small businesses have gotten 17 tax breaks. That you Obama. My wallet is swollen compared to GW Bush.

Mitt wants to outsource as many jobs as possible. Mitt wants to repeal the Obama Cares Act. Screw Mitt Romney.

Romney made an appearance at the NAACP confab to prove that he wasn't a racist to Independents. His comment about blacks wanting "free stuff" was predictable. He wants to send a message to the true racists that he won't be afraid to confront black people.

Mitt bused in about 200 blacks to provide the polite applause to his condescending speech. It was political theatre.

I just ran across the piece looking at something else there and since it wasn't the usual spin on this story, thought it might be of interest to some. I appreciate getting your view of it.
