You've got this cryptic title without instructions as towhat to look at, in doing so you are presuming no one here is as dumb as a post like me. At first I just thought: oh, it's the same old Trump approval rating chart.
Ah but, scroll down to see all the other charts and hover over them with your cursor.
Overall message for me: Trump is comparatively very unpopular for a beginner! Incredibly so. All the sturm and drang on this site about his approval rating not going down is just expecting too much from our population. As long as they got a job they aren't really paying attention, a lot of them just tell the pollster: eh, he's okay.
Also especially striking to me: back in the olden days: it amazes how incredibly popular Johnson and Kennedy were during this first two years period. Because people didn't really know as much about what was going on? And also: boy, Gerald Ford didn't get too much of a honeymoon! Something happened around day 32, he fell and never got back up, I don't remember what that was because at the time, I wasn't paying attention.

Sorry, *BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED*. ok, was curious if others had my alarmed takeaway, that most non-war presidents seem to end up heading to 40% approval (ignore JFK of course..., & even the war couldn't save Harry), and I'd expect if Trump were seriously different he'd be tanking below 40% after all these gaffes & indictments. Trump of course got to 42% quicker, 0 honeymoon for a serial abuser, but his is already surprising by maintaining that lock on 42 for 2 whole years.

Well myself I don't forget the war thing, I know it's a very strong effect on approval rating so no reminder needed. That's where patriotism really kicks in and it's been that way since I was a kid. For the majority, it''s "support our troops right or wrong" and it was there all during Vietnam and it never went away. Once we stopped the draft, it was extra assured it would stay that way.
But a big surprise for me: G.H.W. Bush was way more popular than Ronnie was his first term! All through it, not just the Desert Storm effect! Ronnie's sainthood way overrated. Looks to me like the supposed Ronnie popularity was a "conservatives only" thing, Ronnie didn't have approval of all the swings, Bush I obviously did.
Edit to add: makes the Clinton/Gore win all the more amazing, it really is the economy stupids and Bush I fucked up royally with the town halls in the campaigns as elite and non caring and having Perot butting in there didn't help with that.

Can't tell if that's a joke or not, but on day 30 Ford pardoned Nixon.

yeah and obviously the nation didn't "approve".

Ya think? maybe it was just his "Whip Inflation Now" buttons (that got flipped mischievously to declare "No Instant Miracles") or Chevy Chase's impersonations?

Chevy Chase.
