Mexico experiences terrible drought.

I hope we (U.S.) are doing something by way of helping these people out.

I was struck by the Time Mag's photos concerning this drought.

I also felt some guilt because, some time ago, I made fun of Perry's prayer for rain since Texas, the northern part of this catastrophe, is part and parcel of the same area of carnage.

Very sad to see these poor people suffering like this!

DD it is sad. I could go across the road right now and take a picture of 2 homeless women sleeping under my neighbor's car port. I know of 4 homeless camps with in a 1/2 mile of this trailer park. I get up everyday glad to.have a bed and a kitchen because I get reminded often it could be worse. Maybe after this next election something will be done.

Southern Europe is exceptionally dry right now, as well. In 2010, Kevin Drum wrote about Our Coming Mega-Drought, and Stuart Staniford has a series of articles on droughts.

I'm not concerned about thirsty Mexicans. They can take dust baths like we gave my dog before it ran away. Self deporting ones can also bring back good US bottled water which they can buy at Staples.
