Donald Trump is ahead in the latest FoxNews poll of Republican candidates.HuffPost thinks that the campaign is essentially a sideshow and moved campaign coverage to the Entertainment Section. I think that HuffPost is taking the correct approach, but should the polls be dismissed so easily. Should Trump be considered a serious candidate? Does he not appeal to the Republican base?

I just saw he was fired. I don't even like or share his stuff on FB. I am so tired of his ugly faces and carnival barking. Let him be the front runner for the summer. They have their first debate in August.

At least one HuffPo contributor thinks it's a mistake to marginalize Trump. I tend to agree. Democrats should be shouting his ascension from the rooftops rather than helping Republicans try to disassociate from him. If he's what their party wants, who are we to disagree?

Barefooted, I agree. It's just giving him what he wants. Better to just drop him without fanfare.

So yeah, we all consider him a buffoon. The argument can be made that he's being over covered due to his inflammatory remarks. But he's a political candidate that's at the top of the polls in the republican primary. That's news.

This corny stunt by HuffPo lasted about 5 minutes. Load up their website and he's right there in the middle of the page yelling about John McCain, barking that McCain's a war hero because he got captured. (Ironically, it's the truest thing that Trump the Clown has said in weeks.) Sure, click on it and you're routed to the entertainment section, but click on politics and it's there, too. Pure bullshit. Guess they picked the wrong week to stop Trumping.

They may switch him back to entertainment if the reaction to his McCain statement sends him plummeting in the polls.
The objection to Trump landing in Entertainment is that he is not entertaining at all.
