The GOP face demographic problems. They cannot change their political positions to appeal to Black and Latino communities, so they resort to suppressing Democratic votes. This sets up a vicious cycle. Republicans try to suppress votes. Blacks see the GOP as oppressors and don't consider Republicans as a viable option at election time.
Comments
What these recent moves to suppress voting is going to do is motivate everyone that can vote to get to the polls that is part of the target groups. You would of thought they would have learned something from the last election. This also cuts into their voters also.
People will stand in line and just to prove a point that these governors can't make it to hard for them to vote. The more the country see this the less they are going to like watching long lines on the news. GOP will keep loosing support. All you have to do is look at some of these Republicans and see stupid on their faces. They can't stem the shift that is in progress political.

It seems that they just can't stop themselves. There is some slur against minorities or women on a weekly basis. They have no plan for healthcare, the economy, or jobs, They yell about Benghazi and the IRS because they have nothing.

That word salad of dog whistles is the sound of a dying party's death rattle. Voter suppression is an act of desperation as well as extreme gerrymandering. You are right they no longer can help themselves.
