Obama today said something about JOBS. (Mitt Romney's whole thing is jobs, not that he has a clue except cutting taxes, I'd guess.) But even Obama fudged the jobs report by...a lot.

That is disturbing. Someone in her position and with her responsibilities being mauled by a couple of wannabe gotcha journalists. We are so fubar.
She was much too nice and accomodating. Dems need more spokespeople who can handle these journalists jokes.

I'd disagree, Emma; she was a deer stuck in the headlights because the administration is focused on deficit reduction (a la Greenspan, WTF?) instead of actual plans to use fiscal policy to create any. The administration has been relyiing on wishes and Wall Street Health instead of restoring any sort of confidence in the system. She had no arrows in her quiver, the poor dear.

Deer in headlights is a good description of her performance but pinning her performance on administration policies seems a stretch. Talking points; not policy are the arrows she needed in her quiver. But even the best arrows are of no use if you fail to use them.
The way the 'reporters' went after her, I would not be surprised if she was not set up. Still, anyone who has had any exposure to the media since the advent of gotcha jouornalism should anticipate being got.

Emma, I'm going to have to agree with Stardust on this. Totally out of touch. The Malls here are like mausoleums and houses are sitting empty and little by little more and more businesses are closing.

I was critiquing the interview performances of the Secretary and the 'reporters', not administration policy which is rather sucky.
