Got the chance to help write the Democratic platform, then disappeared through the fall to play with himself.
Yeah, I agreed with some of his points about poverty and black lives, but he never ever figured out how to be part of the solution, ever the complainer.
And no, Hillary wasn't Obama no matter how much she had to cling to his lapels politically. Would have been nice if he'd given her as much chance as he'll give The Donald.
Sanders "crushed by Clinton and Obama in the unfair Democratic party primaries" - wow, if all black leaders were as whiny and hypersensitized to such "unfairness", African-Americans would be lying in fetal position in corners everywhere.
Get used to unfairness, Cornel - you've helped bring on a shitstorm of it for the next 4 years. Undoubtedly you won't learn from it either.
No, Cornel, you "warriors" didn't "go down swinging" - you disappeared like babies and ignored the much bigger threat in your all-things-equal view of the world. No, "neo-liberal" isn't the same as "neo-fascist", much as you like to slander with the former and empower the latter.
But guess you'll have work playing the martyr while others get bullied and go hungry. Go get 'em, tiger.

Cornel is like the movie critic who can never produce anything of value, but offers plenty of criticism. The problem becomes that everyone can criticize a movie. Few can actually produce a film, play, opera, or television show, While Cornel whines, activists like those at the Dakota pipeline and those fighting the power grab in North Carolina are actually fighting. He is struggling for relevance in the black community. West has nothing to offer. He and Kanye have become sideshow acts serving only to give aid and comfort to Trump.

Hope there aren't too many of these types of folks, black or white. It felt like an unusually high number this time (to me), but it may just be the way the 'Net brings the world to our desktop these day and the dark streets I willingly walk down. It was hard for me to take seriously anyone who said that Hillary and Trump were the same, or equally bad. All one had to do was care about the environment or ID laws to know they weren't both the same by any stretch, but their response was generally to back up the truck and dump five zillion awful things Hillary had done in her life time.
