The Massachusetts Supreme Court just ruled that innocent black men may have a legitimate reason to flee the police given the Boston PD's history of racial bias. Since fleeing is reasonable, it does not imply guilt.
This is headed to Federal Court tomorrow.

Donald Trump suggests that we have nationwide "Stop and Frisk" a practice that produce few positive results.

Trump was asked what could be done to reduce Black on Black violence, gun violence killing young Black men and bystanders. Stop and Frisk, searching young Black men on the street for weapons especially those with gang affiliation did produce 'incrimental' whatever that means, results so less people were shot or died. Few positive results are more than no positive results and S&F is also a deterent to people carrying weapons in public. It is not the only answer to this problem and only addresses a symptom of the problem and Trump said there were other things that needed to be done.
Stop and Frisk, a specific tactic used to address a specific problem, has been conflated with racial profiling a long used tactic that singles out Black people from among the White population for special scrutiny especially in traffic stops and this is not S&F but racial harassment through profiling.

Typical wingnut drivel used as a cover. Stop and Frisk was ruled unconstitutional. Crime has not spiked in NYC, except in the minds controlling wingnut websites. Stop and Frisk is like voter suppression. Both target minority voters to the joy of white supremacists.

I suppose you think Mayor Dave Dinkins is a wignut or you're just ignorant of the fact that the S&F program in NYC began in 1990 under this Black Democrat.
Your ignorance or partisan Clintonite spin isn't even close to fact, S&F is still legal everywhere in the US under a Supreme Court ruling and is called the Terry Stop. The lower court judge's ruling in NYC was about their program that was based on quotas and the judges statement about it being unconstitutional, which was an opinion, and even with that he didn't stop the S&F in NYC only restricted it to meet the SCOTUS requirements.
Rahm Emmanual's response to the escalating B on B violence in Chicago is a typical Clintonite Law and Order reactionary response. He is sending in 1000 new troops to quell the violence and that should up the head count of police killings now that some moron judge has told suspects they can run from the law.

Peter you tell another racist wingnut lie
Dinkins advocated for community policing and only stopping people for just cause. Giuliani abandoned community policing and he and Bloomberg expanded Dinkin's program to one of profiling blacks and Latinos.

NYC Stop and Frisk violated people's civil rights. A Terry Stop has to be base on reasonable suspicion. Your word jumble admits that the NYC practice did not meet SCOTUS requirements. You admit the illegality of Stop and Frisk. The overwhelming majority of blacks and Latinos stopped were innocent. Your Clinton Derangement Syndrome forces you to bring Hillary into the discussion. Your racist candidate Trump is the one who said he wants to reinstate the unconstitutional program. Your candidate is the one in error.

Bloomberg warned that crime would sky-rocket with ending the stops. Crime has gone down in New York City despite ending unconstitutional Stop and Frisk. Bloomberg was an idiot on the issue.
Finally, you bring up the problems in Chicago but you expose your cold heart by hoping the there will be people shot trying to run away from police. If Rahm did not increase the police force, then you would say that he was a Clintonite who did not care about black lives.
Your rant exposes who you are. We have a NC Trump supporting legislator saying protesters hate white people. We have the Trumpkin in Ohio saying that there was no racism before Obama. We have Vice candidate Mike Pence saying that we shouldn't talk about race. We have Trump suggesting that blacks should have to endure an unconstitutional program.
And we have You.

Peter, I know you don't like to give the sites you get your information from, but this time you really ought to put it out there because it is so brilliant. I will put it out there for you: kkkforever.com, and whitepoweristhebestpower Evah.yuk.
You're welcome

Another deplorable, a Republican with a district including part of Charlotte, made his racist contribution to the debate.

These are Trump supporters.

And in Ohio: Trump campaign county chair who said ‘no racism until Obama got elected’ apologizes, resigns. Yeah, all the deplorables emerged from under the rocks they had run to hide under after the GWB/Rove/Cheney 1000 year Reich went off the cliff, yelling 'Mooselim Kenyan Usurper!'
At least Oklahoma charged, in just 6 days, the officer I mentioned below with murder. The state may have some of the biggest nutjobs in DC but they don't let police unions stonewall with months and months of secret 'investigations'.

Tulsa PD released the tape and there is peace. Charlotte Metro PD stonewalls and there is turmoil. People do not trust the police. The tape needs to be made public.
Edit to add:
The nuts keep falling from the tree deplorable Omarosa says that we will have to bow down to Trump

VP candidate Pence thinks that all this talk about race makes white supremacists uncomfortable and unwilling to unify in harmony with minorities.

Not that it is necessarily a good idea, even if no longer accepted as an indicia of guilt...duck and cover may be a better move.
by jollyroger on Wed, 09/21/2016 - 7:27pm
Yeah, as I'm sure we all know there's a difference between de jure and de facto.

Given the officer, you are a threat if your hands are raised and you are a threat if you run away. The other officers will always back the shooter.
by rmrd0000 on Wed, 09/21/2016 - 9:15pm
The Tulsa case reports said the male cop shot a taser almost simultaneously with the female cop shooting her gun.
Apparently no communication between the two cops at all.
As to who was in charge of the incident and what action was necessary.
Deaf dumb and mute it seems. Trigger happy doesn't begin to describe the incompetence.

Even the Conservative New York Daily News admits that they were wrong in their belief that ending Stop and Frisk would increase crime. Crime in NYC is at historic lows despite ending Stop and Frisk.
