Treachout has been endorsed by at least one major public sector union. The governor's son. . .I mean the governor, has to strike the proper balance between bashing vested benefits (a lost word for working people, a bad word for many) and being a governor of the People.
Other than that, probably have written more than I should.

Thanks for that link, I had not seen it. I was in court with her the other day at the hearing on Cuomo's challenge of her residency (I confess, I thought that the two years of non-resident state tax filings might be fatal...).
She's even cuter in person.

Dude, you really do wanna get me in trouble, don't you! Politicians are not cute, none of them, period!

She's doing another event at 8:30am tomorrow: 157 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019

That's gonna be fun--they are massing at the "poor door" of one of those dual income range buildings.
She's in a flat sprint now for the next two weeks coming up to priimary day, and folks who can should volunteer-there's lots of leafleting, tabling, etc, to be personned.
Of course, money is also nice if it is to be spared.

It's the humongous new high-rise above the park where someone bought an apartment for $90mil. No "poor door" (except a service entrance for staff).

Then the poor door must be at the Excell, later in the morning. I got some sort of email to that effect, but ,yes on reflection, that address on 57th does ring a bell.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get set up? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very internet smart so I'm not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Ahmed, I know this doesn't answer your question, but I'm looking into starting my own comment spam business and was curious what all is required to get set up? I'm assuming hiring offshore spammers like you would cost a few pennies per comment? I'm not very business smart so I'm not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Fuck you.

Oh snap!

Zephyr Rain Teachout born on a Vermont farm. Hmmm. I wonder what generation she is. ;)
by EmmaZahn on Wed, 08/27/2014 - 5:41pm
She's 42 (just within my target demographic...) and swears that her parents (mom's a judge, dad's a law professor like her) were not hippies. I's a real name "teachout" is of Dutch origin.
by jollyroger on Wed, 08/27/2014 - 8:58pm
I didn't emphasize Teachout because it's the surname and I've heard it before. But Zephyr Rain, I could not resist the tease.
Did you ever hear about the teacher who complimented a mother on the social consciousness of her daughters' names, Sierra and Cheyenne, and asked how she chose them. The mother replied that they were the names of the trucks the family owned when each was born. :D

The NYTs declined to endorse Governor Cuomo because of what it claims is his failed record on ethics reform. They're staying neutral:

In related news, despite using the Times editorial to tweak Cuomo on this morning's program, Scarborough et al, (Weep for Rogie, he listens to Joey Scumbag so you don't have to...) when quoting the Times, thrice substituted "the opponent" for Teachout, to avoid giving her vital name recognition...
by jollyroger on Wed, 08/27/2014 - 10:07pm
That man is just so full of himself. But people seem to like his show. That really was inappropriate of him to decide that she was unworthy of name recognition. Seriously, think about it. I mean I know that we're not going to see all 328 presidential candidates in 2016 get equal time. But that's not what we are talking about here.

It wasn't just him--Mika and one other accolyte carefully followed the script...There is one name that Joey really wants to make sure no one recognises-- Lori Klausitis . Thanks to Lori, Joe is unlikely to return to the public trough, even with the bump from fans of his show...
by jollyroger on Wed, 08/27/2014 - 11:34pm
You got that right.
